Patricia Marein
Reach Spanish Academy Founder and Instructor
Patricia Marein is a native Spanish speaker originally from Colombia with more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish. Based on her work with students of all ages, she firmly believes that every person has the ability to learn a foreign language when given the opportunity and the right support. This strong belief is what inspired her to found the Reach Spanish Academy (RSA).
RSA’s unique approach to language development sets it apart from other language learning programs. Patricia offers relational and conversational instruction to students of all skill levels in a safe and supportive environment.
Students are encouraged to take risks and challenged to push beyond their comfort zone because that is where the learning happens! All the while, Patricia is there to offer feedback, answer questions and facilitate meaningful learning opportunities. RSA students have the chance to become part of an engaged learning community, which helps them maintain the motivation and commitment needed to learn a new language.
Moreover, Patricia is passionate about providing both, language coaching and cultural resources to her students. She understands that cross-cultural communication involves much more than just words alone. That is why she integrates important cultural awareness components into all RSA classes with the goal that RSA students will be able to connect effectively with diverse Spanish speaking communities and cultures here in the U.S and around the world.
